Golden currant

Another truly special Oregon native that is fruit producing and rarely seen on the western side of Mt. Hood. This currant will produce wonderful fruit that will be amber-yellow to black and the shrubs can reach up to 6' tall! This plant has been used for hedges and is excellent for all wildlife grazing. The flowers produce a pleasant clove-like aroma, giving it another nickname as the Clove Currant.
