Early Fuyu Persimmon (Non-astringent)

This attractive, non-astringent, early-ripening variety produces good crops in our Northwest climate and in other regions of the United States. A self-pollinating tree that has bright orange fruit, Early Fuyu fruit is sweet and flavorful and can be eaten when firm like an apple or allowed to soften and become even sweeter. This variety is almost identical to Sweet Fuyu, but ripens slightly earlier. A truly remarkable specimen after the leaves drop and all that remain in the scenery are hanging bright orange balls of delicious fruit.
